Perfect Place for a trip to Newport Beach

London, UK - November 2013

The Bay Shores Peninsula is a fantastic boutique hotel based in a perfect place to enjoy the beach or explore Newport. The room is comfy and has everything you could want and the breakfast ensures you are fully fed for the day ahead. The thing that really stands out most of all though is the friendliness of the stay and their determination to ensure you have a great stay. They really care about their guests.

Wow! A Hidden Gem

Salt Lake City, UT - November 2013

My Husband and I love to travel and when we get fantastic customer service we love to tell about it! The Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel far surpassed our expectations. We found it on line and booked it due to its close proximity to the beach. We were overwhelmed by the customer service!

A Gem!

Lancashire, UK - November 2013

Stayed in So Cal in various locations for 2 weeks and this was undoubtably the best by a mile! Welcoming staff, beautiful room, lovely breakfast, parking taken care of, the loan of beach equip if required, rooftop terrace, cookies to die for..... we extended our stay by an extra night and Warren and the team could not have made us feel more welcome.

Great spot in Newport Beach

Downington, PA - November 2013

We don't stay in hotels because we want to enjoy what the hotel has to offer. We stay in hotels so we can take advantage of everything nearby. It's nice when the hotel offers unique options like a rooftop deck to view the Pacific and the bay, where you can watch surfers, see the local marinas and enjoy a meal or beverage, just like you were on your own porch.

Welcoming as the California sun!

Leeds, UK - October 2013

Stayed on recommendation of friends who had visited twice before. You almost don't want to advertise this hotel in case it gets so booked up you cant get in! Such a great place with wonderful staff, cute rooms and home made cookies. Yards from the amazing beach one way and the same to the sandy banked estuary the other.. location is brilliant.

Our favorite place to stay in Newport Beach

US - October 2013

“Our favorite place to stay in Newport Beach, California! Convenient location, close to beach, shopping and excellent restaurants!”

Our first stay but won't be our last

Fremont, CA - October 2013

This an older small motel type place. Very clean & comfortable, great location, easy trip from the airport, nice rooftop patio! What makes this place 5 star lodging is the staff & owner. They have provided everything you could think of needing without charging you extra for every little thing... and they could not be any more friendly or helpful. This was our first stay but won't be our last!

A Quintessential California Experience

Nashville, TN - October 2013

What a gem. Located across the street from the beach and a walkway to the bike path, this classic small hotel provides just the right home for a visit to Newport Beach. Super friendly staff, ample breakfast options, cookies in the evening and a powerful shower will get you value for your cost. While not, by any means, luxurious, this hotel makes up for the lack of polish with character and comfort. There is a certain soulfulness to this hotel. Amenities like beach towels, boogie boards, beach toys and chairs help make your stay both comfy and fun.

Coming again!

Kansas City, Missouri

I am so very excited to be coming for another visit over Thanksgiving. This is positively my favorite place to stay in Newport Beach (8th or 9th time I believe). Wonderful staff, rooms are very well taken care of, fresh baked cookies in the afternoon and a great breakfast (also free). We just can't get enough of the beach, shops and the fantastic restaurants just a few steps away.

Truly on the Beach

Barcelona, Spain - October 2013

I stayed at the hotel one night. It is right on the beach and the beach is wonderful. It is quiet, relaxed and very friendly. All extras are free including parking. Free freshly baked cookies in the lounge after 15.00 hours... staff were all very helpful. They have a large DVD library which is free for guests, in fact so many attentive details and the roof top terrace is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the view. There are many restaurants within walking distance.
