We booked a last minute weekend to Newport Beach to get away from the heat in Phoenix. I picked this hotel based on the TripAdvisor reviews and the very reasonable price. I couldn't have been more pleased. Everything was exactly as advertised and the personalized service was outstanding. Especially considering how affordable this hotel is. We had the handicap accessible room on the first floor and it was very nice.
This Hotel was literally right across the street from the Beach. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was wonderful! I would absolutely recommend staying here and when I come back this is where I'm staying. It's also very easy to get around-- driving wise and walking.
This was an amazing, retro motel. From the moment we arrived to the aroma of fresh baked cookies, until the time we departed 3 days later, we loved every moment of this extraordinary inn. Warren, our innkeeper, was amazing. He advised us of all of our local amenties, and offfered us the very best opportunities regarding Newport Beach. Every aspect of the Bayshores Inn was inviting, clean, comfortable & charming.
Ci tornerei ;-)
Not the poshest, nor the trendiest but the nicest place we stayed in on our USA trip. By far the best staff - real genuine people that mean what they say and genuinely care. The whole place has a home from home feel and everything works perfectly (air con, breakfast etc). Stones throw from the beach and wonderful roof top terrace.
My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel. Just across the road is 18th Street which is on Newport Beach. We were lucky to be there to see the huge waves caused by the remains of Hurricane Marie. The hotel is a short cab fare from Balboa Island, we recommend a visit to Catalina Island, it's just an hour away on the 'flyer'.
This hotel is great! We quickly checked in, got towels, chairs, umbrella and walked across the road for perfect afternoon on the beach. Everyone working at the hotel was helpful and happy. The room was clean and spacious, location was ideal, breakfast was yummy. The hotel already has a ton of wonderful reviews and we know why!
My daughter and I stayed for 4 days, it was great. The room was nice, small but knew that from reviews, and it was booked last minute and the only room left. We loved it! Where can you ever stay that you can open the windows? Such a charming boutique type of hotel. Everyone that works there couldn't be nicer and or more helpful. We didn't want to leave.
My husband and I just spent three wonderful nights at this hotel and it couldn't be better. You name it - they had it there for you - from beach towels, chairs, hot cookies, DVDs, a clean and comfortable room, free breakfast, free parking, and a friendly staff. I would go back here in a heartbeat if it wasn't 3,000 miles away from home. I highly recommend this hotel!
Traveling with 3 college-age kids, we stayed at Bay Shores as first stop in California. Outstanding, and better than photos suggest: friendly, convenient and fun, with great restaurants nearby. We traveled by rental car, and parking was a minor issue, as hotel was full and street parking is limited, but staff made sure it was not a problem.
