This was the first time we stayed at the Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel. It is now at the top of our list for future trips. Not only is the hotel very up to date, clean, and quaint with great personable service via front desk personnel, it was in a perfect location to watch the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade.
I always stay at this hotel when I am in the the area, It is quaint, comfortable, and the staff could not be more helpful. I arrived very late on 2/16, and night manager Bruce gave a warm welcome offered me late night snack from the pantry ! The place is peaceful and has an incredible location, even for a quick, short walk to the beach when travelling on business!
If you're a business traveler and used to the Marriott or Hilton this place is not for you.
Vintage vibe in very nice hotel. Rooms are small but very quaint with beach theme decor. Wonderful hotel personnel that make the stay!
Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel is a great place to stay! We wanted a short getaway for my husbands birthday so we picked the Bay Shores. We weren't sorry! The staff does everything possible to make your stay great.
We saw this small hotel had great reviews on Tripadvisor and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. It is not a fancy hotel, but warm and inviting with many amenities and old fashioned values for comfort.
Another great trip to CA and this year the weather cooperated as well........warm and sunny. So we really enjoyed the roof top deck!!!! Our 3 visit to this hotel, and was happy to see Warren still working the front desk, he is very helpful for places to see and go!!!
Stayed here 4 days rooms were excellent, staff very helpful nothing too much trouble. There was a terrace on the roof which was very good just to relax...a lovely view of the harbour as well as sun lounges for your pleasure. Breakfast was available in a nice little quaint room also the Los Angeles Times was delivered to you door daily. We will be looking forward to staying again at some point.
My wife and I stayed in several hotels in the area on our winter trip to Newport Beach, and this was easily our favorite, including one high-end hotel on the bay. Location is excellent, just off the beach, and close to Newport Pier and the restaurants and shops in that area, but very little foot traffic in the evening (although it is on the main street, so there were cars passing).
